New Appointment | Ryan Myburgh appointed F&B Manager

@Sandton Hotel is delighted to announce that Ryan Myburgh has been promoted to F&B Manager for the hotel and will be the custodian of all Food and Beverage outlets whilst maintaining his oversight of the banqueting offerings and experiences. We chatted with Ryan about his new appointment:

How do you feel about your new appointment and what are you most looking forward to achieving in your new role? 

Starting with @Sandton Hotel as the Banqueting Manager and being promoted to the Food & Beverage Manager is a step in my career which I have been longing for. I am humbled by the opportunity and cannot wait to make all the necessary changes to improve our guests’ experience.

We are currently working on menu improvements as well as improving our service offering – we have a great team and I look forward to seeing them reach new heights.  

 Tell us a little bit about what you plan to bring to the role? 

I am extremely customer-centric and I believe in offering value for money as well as meeting the guests’ needs and, most of all, their expectations.

An activation which we have already implemented is a live sushi bar in our Clubhouse on weekends.

Wine pairings, sip and paint evenings and specialty coffees are a few extra items which will be introduced over the next couple of months.

What’s a dish on the menu that should not be missed? 

I love a curry so I have to say our divine Prawn and Fish curry – it’s an absolute must have. Add on a bottle of Buitenverwachting Sauvignon Blanc and you’re in for a delightful meal!

Lastly, what’s an experience that guests should look out for? 

Our Clubhouse leads out onto the pool deck with gorgeous views – and with our beautiful Joburg weather, it’s a must-visit! While the kiddies are playing on our well-equipped playground, parents can take a refreshing swim and lounge around the pool. Nothing beats the summer sun with a delectable meal and refreshing cocktail.
