What appealed to you about joining @Sandton Hotel?
As this was a new build, it gave me the opportunity to do what I wanted to do from a food delivery standpoint – I was able to get creative and implement my own standards, design menus and create an exciting kitchen environment without boundaries.
What, to your mind, makes @Sandton Hotel’s restaurants stand out from the crowd?
The look and feel is relaxed, yet sophisticated, and we have the absolute best view of Sandton and surrounds from all angles.
What are some of the must-try dishes on the menu?
Our Rib Eye on the Bone, 400g Porcini Fillet, Prawn and Fish Curry and, of course, our Signature Baked Cheesecake.
Best part of working at @Sandton Hotel?
I don’t have limitations like other jobs do – I get to play with food all day!

Internationally, there’s a big focus on celebrating local produce. For us at @Sandton Hotel, we believe that if it can’t be delivered fresh, under one hour then that’s not the supplier we need to use. Our food philosophy is to keep it simple and let the quality of the ingredients speak for itself.
